Documentation

From install to your first automatic post in a few minutes.

1. Requirements

2. Installation

  1. Download the postping-v….zip file you received with your subscription (or from the Customer area). The version number is part of the filename.
  2. In WordPress: Plugins → Add new → Upload plugin → pick the zip → install and activate.
  3. Go to Post Ping → Subscription and activate your key.
From then on, plugin updates show up automatically under Dashboard → Updates, like any official plugin.

3. Notifications (Discord and Telegram)

  1. Under Post Ping → Settings, enable the platform you want.
  2. Discord: paste the channel webhook URL (the plugin ships a step-by-step tutorial).
  3. Telegram: enter the bot token and the group/channel chat ID.
  4. Use the Test button to validate right away.

4. Social module (Instagram and Facebook)

  1. On the social tab, flip the "Social module active" switch: it is the master key for everything.
  2. Click "Connect with Meta", log in and authorize. The plugin finds your Page and Instagram account by itself.
  3. Choose what to publish: feed, stories, Facebook Page or all of them.
  4. Facebook can publish to a different Page than Instagram: on the Facebook tab, use "Choose another Page". Leave it as is to publish to the same one on both.

One Meta account per site

Each site connects to a single Meta account. The Facebook Page and the Instagram account may differ from each other, but both must be reachable by the same login you used to connect, including when they belong to a Business Portfolio.

What is not possible: publishing to an Instagram account on one Meta account and to a Page on another Meta account from the same site. In that case, use one installation per client, each site with its own connection.

Agencies: if you manage client Pages through a Business Portfolio, a single login reaches all of them. When connecting, authorize the Portfolio so the Pages show up in the list.

5. AI and visual cards

  1. Under Artificial Intelligence, pick the provider (OpenAI/Claude), paste your key and set the tone of voice.
  2. Under Visual Card, turn cards on and adjust logo, colors, gradient, category and footer bar, with a live preview.
  3. The Story card (9:16) has its own settings and the "tap the link in bio" CTA.

6. Link in Bio page

Under Behavior → "Link in Bio" page, the plugin automatically creates a page on your domain (e.g. yoursite.com/instagram/) listing your latest articles. Add that URL to your Instagram bio once: your stories point followers there.

7. Publishing flow

Stuck on a step? The plugin ships a full Tutorial page inside the dashboard, and our support is answered directly by the development team.
